Lunar & the Deception is a female-fronted band from London, blending elements of Alt. Rock, Indie-Rock, Darkwave, Dream-Pop, Gothic & Neo-Psychedelia.
Lead singer Britt, is a songwriter & costume-designer based in London, born in South Africa. She is known for her activism, high fashion theatrics and captivating performances.
Musically, the band combine celestial synth-scapes, tribal rhythms, dramatic strings & hypnotic vocals to create an immersive journey of sound, loaded with prophecy, poetry & emotion.
The band feel that it’s an artistic duty to reflect on social injustice through the ages and the plight of the underdog as a voice for the people. They want to inspire, enlighten, soothe & champion a raised vibration of consciousness.
Britt draws on her 15-years experience as a professional costume designer to create the band’s strong, visual artistic direction – based around the power of prophetic female sorcerers & tribal warriors - past & present.
